Montana Forbes construction of image

So this is my final interpretation of the Montana Forbes illustration. I really enjoyed doing this one and think it mostly turned out good. As she uses dark clean lines along with whites and bright colours, it was a lot easier than the Tanya Ling interpretation. When i zoomed in on the Montana Forbes piece, there was still a lot of things that needed cleaned up with an eraser on photoshop, therefore i left some myself.

The hardest part was getting the eyes right. They didnt turn out quite right. I also had some layering issues, especially on the garment which is obvious. The photoshop tools I used during this illustration were the pencil, brush, eraser, magic wand, the clone stamp, the burn and dodge and eyedropper tools and the smudge tool. the tool I found particularly useful was the eyedropper tool to get the colouring right. I also used the "film grain" filter to add texture to the garment.
